At Dorking & District Rifle Club, we've done our best to create a Web site that anticipates most needs. If you do not find an answer to your question here, contact us at info@dorkingrifleclub.org.uk

What does it cost
Full Club annual membership is currently £40 with concessions for under 18s and senior citizens. Half the annual subscription, which is non-returnable, is required upon application.

Range Fee for visitors (with FAC) is £10 per occasion at Boar Hill and £2 at the smallbore range. The Bookham range is not available to Dorking visitors.

Club rifles can be made available for use by members upon prior request at no charge. Fullbore ammunition is available, again upon prior request, at prices ruling at the time.

Rifle prices are like cars. A reasonable second-hand rifle could be around £250 while a new state-of-the-art target rifle is nearer £2,000.

Initial purchases should be ear-defenders (compulsory), a shooting jacket and a sling. A shooting mat will add a touch of comfort. Much of this can be found secondhand although a jacket should ideally be tailored to fit. Shooting at Bisley will require a spotting scope.

What is the minimum age:
The Club’s nominal lower age limit is 14 years but much depends on the physical size of the shooter and their ability to hold and shoot the rifle in safety and comfort. All under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
